About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Medicines Management Assistant to join our team at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective management of medicines across our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of a Medicines Management Technician and Pharmacists to carry out near-bedside dispensing, patient interviews, and counseling for discharge.
  • Contribute to the governance of medicines through regular audits and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with ward-based teams, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Nursing staff, Medical staff, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Support the development of our pharmacy team through local training and individual performance development reviews.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy
  • Significant experience in hospital pharmacy, with a strong focus on customer care and communication.
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy environment, managing time and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Experience of supervision and mentoring staff.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet knowledge.
