Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our team at West London NHS Trust. As a Community Mental Health Nurse, you will play a key role in developing pathways of care in our local community mental health team (MINT). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, utilizing your expertise to support individuals with mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality care and support to patients with mental health conditions
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Conducting assessments and risk evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective interventions
  • Providing education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on mental health conditions and recovery strategies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Professional qualification in mental health - Mental Health Nursing (RMN) with current NMC registration
  • Experience of working in community mental health services, with a focus on crisis intervention and risk assessment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of recovery approaches and psychosocial interventions, with the ability to apply this knowledge in practice
