Senior Fibre Infrastructure Planner

NMS Recruit Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Fibre Planner to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all planning activities in their assigned region, overseeing fibre design staff, designing civils and fibre-optic infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Design suitable civils and fibre optic infrastructure that are cost-effective, fit-for-purpose, and future-proof.
- Maintain and update fibre records accurately within their region.
- Forecast CAPEX and OPEX requirements of designed infrastructure projects.
- Produce detailed industry-standard documentation of the design.
- Help develop, implement, and champion network topologies.
- Drive consistency, quality, suitability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Detailed understanding of all aspects of civils route planning.
- Detailed understanding of all aspects of fibre planning.
- Ability to understand and produce detailed industry-standard level of survey, installation, and as-built documentation.
- Knowledge and understanding of lit fibre services.
- FTTP methodologies and design.
- Working knowledge of GIS software, APX, GComms, GE Smallworld, or similar.
- Full understanding of UK local and national authority regulations in respect to civil engineering works.
- Competitive salary: £50,000 - £55,000 DOE.
