Job Title: Vetting Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vetting Officer to join our team at Adecco UK Limited. As a Vetting Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and security of our organization by conducting thorough background checks and vetting processes.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating Force, National, and other bespoke Police databases to present relevant information for vetting decisions. You will work closely with the Force Vetting Officer and other stakeholders to ensure that all vetting procedures are followed and that sensitive personal information is handled with discretion and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough background checks and vetting processes to ensure the integrity and security of our organization.
  • Analyze and evaluate Force, National, and other bespoke Police databases to present relevant information for vetting decisions.
  • Work closely with the Force Vetting Officer and other stakeholders to ensure that all vetting procedures are followed.
  • Handle sensitive personal information with discretion and integrity.
  • Provide administrative support to the Force Vetting Officers.
Essential Criteria:
  • Ability to evidence sound information gathering, research, and analytical skills.
  • High level of competency in using information technology systems, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact, interview, and present findings to staff.
  • High level of self-motivation and innovation, with the ability to work unsupervised and proactively organize and prioritize workloads.
  • Systematic, meticulous, and flexible approach to varied work.
  • Clear understanding of the Data Protection Act and the Vetting Code of Practice/APP.
