About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of BSL trained teaching assistant. In this role, you will be working closely with students who have hearing impairments and other learning disabilities, including autism.

Your key responsibilities will include providing support to students in a small group setting, offering one-to-one assistance when needed, and promoting communication through BSL. A patient and understanding approach is crucial for this position, as you will be working with students who require extra support.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of BSL Level 2 qualification, with Level 3 preferred
  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant in a similar setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • A calm and composed demeanor, even in challenging situations
