Care Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Family Support Advocate. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the community while developing new skills and knowledge.

About the Role:

  • Represent BPV at meetings with local authorities and stakeholders on various themed areas, including Short Breaks, Early Years, and SEND Transport.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Integrate Therapy Review: Seek feedback on graduated offer for therapies.
  2. 0-25 Education, Health & Social Care Transformation Project: Join working group to shape future of education, health, and social care.
  3. Bromley All-Age Autism Strategy: Contribute to development of comprehensive strategy for autism support.
  4. SEND Coffee Mornings: Organize coffee mornings at schools or in community to bring together parents and carers.
  5. SEN Transport: Work towards improving transport options for students with SEND.

Ongoing Projects:

  • Preparing for Adulthood (PfA): Develop strategies to support young people transition into adulthood.
  • Early Years: Focus on providing high-quality early years education and care.
  • Annual Reviews: Ensure seamless annual reviews for children with SEND.
  • Employment Opportunities for Young People: Explore job opportunities for young people with SEND.
  • Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP): Collaborate with professionals to develop effective EHCPs.
  • Phase Transitions: Support smooth transitions between phases of education.
  • SEN Support: Provide guidance and resources for SEN support in schools.
  • Local Offer: Help create inclusive and accessible Local Offer for children with SEND.
