Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a welcoming school in Bromley.

About the Position:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 or in small groups, supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) such as Autism, ADHD, Global Developmental Delay, and physical disabilities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Fostering engagement and independence through tailored interventions and structured routines.
  • Supporting students' learning and communication using specialist tools like PECs and Makaton.
  • Adapting activities to meet physical or sensory needs and assisting with personal care.
  • Collaborating with SENCOs, therapists, and families to develop individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Creating a calm, inclusive learning environment through positive behavior management strategies.
  • Leading sensory and therapeutic activities to promote students' holistic development.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience supporting children with complex SEN needs in primary settings.
  • Proficiency in PECs, Makaton, and other adaptive communication strategies.
  • Demonstrated empathy, resilience, and a passion for inclusion.
  • Eagerness to support others in a collaborative environment.

Salary: £85-£95 per day
