The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical Scientist Manager to join our team, responsible for managing a team of clinical scientists and technologists delivering high-quality medical physics services. With a strong background in diagnostic radiology physics, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality services are provided to patients and staff across Northern England.

The successful candidate will have a degree in physics or a related field, as well as relevant postgraduate qualifications. They must also be registered as a clinical scientist and possess experience as a diagnostic radiology medical physics expert. A current UK driving license is essential due to the need for regular site visits.

We offer a competitive salary of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we provide opportunities for professional development, flexible working arrangements, and a supportive team environment.

About the role:

  • Manage a team of clinical scientists and technologists delivering high-quality medical physics services.
  • Maintain and develop high standards of service provision throughout their area of responsibility.
  • Initiate, develop, and deliver research and development activities for healthcare advancement.
  • Provide high-quality IPRS services to the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and other customer trusts.
  • Contribute to service and staff development throughout NMPCE.
