Job Description

Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join their Private Client team in Cambridge. As a key member of the team, you will provide bespoke legal advice to high net worth individuals and families, focusing on trusts, taxation, and estate planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing expert estate planning advice to high net worth clients
  • Preparing complex wills and lasting powers of attorney for high net worth clients
  • Dealing with the administration of taxable and non-taxable estates
  • Preparing trust documentation, including drafting settlements and subsequent resolutions and deeds
  • Advising executors and trustees on taxation compliance and reporting requirements
  • Providing business succession planning to business owners
  • Supporting team members on complex matters, particularly trusts, taxation, and estate planning
  • Attending networking events to build the firm's reputation and develop professional connections

Requirements:

  • 8 years of post-qualification experience
  • Experience preparing self-assessment tax returns
  • SFE and/or STEP membership (highly desirable)
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and communication skills
  • Great time management skills
  • Self-motivated, outgoing, and proactive
  • Professional and able to work independently and in a team
  • Calm under pressure
