We are offering a competitive salary estimated to be around £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will also receive:

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for experienced Careers Advisers to join our Education Development Trust youth careers team to provide careers advice, guidance and support to individuals and groups of young people at school or college.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with vulnerable groups and those with special education needs and disabilities (SEND). You will be responsible for producing tailored careers information, advice, and guidance to meet the needs of young people and supporting the school in achieving the Gatsby benchmarks.

You will also engage with and inspire young people with SEND and disadvantaged as well as their parents/carers, demonstrating professional commitment to Children's rights, equal opportunities and diversity.

In addition to your core duties, you will undertake administration duties to ensure that all delivery evidence is complete and compliant in line with contract and quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A strong understanding of the education sector and careers guidance principles
  • Experience of working with young people and delivering careers advice and guidance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A flexible approach to work and ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • A Level 6 qualification in Career Information Advice and Guidance (CIAG) or equivalent
