SEN Learning Support Specialist for Aspiring Therapists

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Learning Support Specialist to join our team at Academics. As an aspiring Speech and Language Therapist, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience working with children who require additional support to overcome speech, language, and communicational challenges.

In this role, you will work closely with our qualified Speech and Language Therapists and teaching staff to deliver tailored interventions that promote language acquisition and improve communication skills.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, and contributing to the development of policies and procedures.

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to deliver lessons and activities
  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs
  • Assess and monitor student progress and development
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures
  • Participate in staff meetings and CPD sessions

Key Responsibilities:

  • No previous experience is required; however, a GCSE in English and Maths is essential
  • A Psychology, Criminology, or Social Science degree is highly valued
  • The right to work in the UK is required; we do not offer visa sponsorship

Terms: £80-£100 per day, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30, term time only. We offer excellent on-site training, support, and CPD to ensure the safeguarding of all students. Start date: ASAP.

Estimated Salary: Based on industry standards and location, we estimate the annual salary to be around £25,000 - £35,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
