About the Role

Sterling Cross Careers is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis in a specialist secondary school near Guildford, Surrey. This tailored environment caters to children and young people aged 10-16 years old with SEMH as their primary area of need, accompanied by sensory differences and SLCN.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be part of a strong Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) delivering targeted interventions based on Positive Behaviour Support and trauma-informed practices. Your goal will be to empower students to feel valued, develop new knowledge and skills, and gain confidence to flourish and look forward to their next steps.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement targeted interventions to support students' physical, emotional, and social well-being
  • Work collaboratively with the MDT to deliver high-quality care and education
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and outcomes
Requirements
  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Membership (or eligibility for) of the RCOT
  • Previous experience working with SEMH, ADHD, and other SEN in the context of children and young people
  • Desirable: Previous experience within an educational setting
