About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Academic Assessment Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge in medical education and assessment, with a proven track record in developing and implementing policies and procedures that comply with regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of formative and summative assessments to evaluate student learning outcomes and competencies.
  • Collaborate closely with the curriculum development team to ensure assessment practices meet regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Liaise with external examiners, regulatory bodies, and the General Medical Council (GMC) to maintain compliance.
Requirements
  • A medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with full registration and licensure to practice medicine by the GMC.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in driving excellence and innovation in assessment practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
What We Offer

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary range of £77,764 - £82,980 pro rata pa, depending on skills and experience. Additionally, they will be entitled to 35 days pro rata annual leave, plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our offices between Christmas and New Year.
