Industrial Operations Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Biffa Waste Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our plant by carrying out routine maintenance and repairs.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Carrying out plant upgrades and modifications to the required standards
- Reporting all work carried out through our computerised maintenance management system
- Development and implementation of a programme of planned preventative maintenance and inspection to minimise downtime
- Liaising with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance
- Implementing and ensuring compliance with all company policies, processes and procedures
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience as a Mechanical/Multi-Skilled Engineer in a process or production environment
- A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to a changing environment
- An HNC/HND/C+G (or Industry equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is preferable but not essential
- Good level of experience working to clearly defined KPIs and delivering continuous improvement within an operational environment
- Knowledge and practical experience of large Conveyors, Chain Drives, Hydraulics, material Compactors, Shredders, Overhead cranes and Pneumatics
Estimated Salary: £44,591.95 per annum DOE
