PDA Search & Selection is seeking a Graduate Fashion Buyer to join their team based at the Carlisle Office. As a Graduate Buyer, your primary function is to support the buyer in the daily operational functions within your department. You will also learn to develop key cross-functional relationships with internal departments, external suppliers, and our overseas sourcing offices.

This position is ideal for someone looking to forge a career in buying or fashion merchandising within a head office environment. As well as being part of an exciting and dynamic buying team, you will also have the opportunity to gain an industry-recognized qualification within your first 18 months.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the buyer, covering all issues and queries.
  • Sample management: general sample organization, including working with suppliers and overseas offices to track samples for seasonal area meetings, web photography, organizing for meetings, and sign-offs.
  • Additional ad-hoc tasks.
  • Responsible for sending out courier packages.
  • Carrying out comparative shopping to develop and maintain knowledge of the current marketplace.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal departments, such as merchandising, technical, design, and marketing, as well as building relationships across the wider structure.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Be educated to degree level in a fashion-related degree.
  • Have excellent computer skills, particularly Excel.
  • Have a keen interest in fashion.
