We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist to join our Acute Therapy Team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality physiotherapy services to patients in our acute settings, including ICU, surgery, elderly care, and respiratory care.
Main Responsibilities:- Deliver a robust seven-day therapy service in the acute setting, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
- Take a leading role in the delivery of the respiratory on-call physiotherapy service, ensuring seamless coverage and effective patient care.
- Supervise and train other staff and students within the acute setting, promoting professional development and excellence.
- Provide skilled clinical leadership, driving service development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Set and monitor standards of practice, implementing policy and policy changes across the acute therapy service, and making recommendations to the team lead/service lead as required.

Person Specification:- BSc/MSc in Physiotherapy
- HCPC registration
- Post-graduate courses relevant to the clinical specialty
- Recognised post-graduate qualification, e.g., MSc or equivalent experience
- Member of a special interest group
- Experience at Band 6 level
- Broad range of experience at junior level, including medical, surgery, neurology, musculoskeletal, and elderly care
- Experience of managing other therapists and supporting students, including teaching in a clinical setting
- Experience of MDT working
- Previous experience at Band 7 level
- Experience of working in Primary or Intermediate Care settings
- Experience of operational team management
- Evidence of service development
- Effective verbal and written communication & interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates ability to lead a team
- Experience of audit
- Ability to travel between sites as required at short notice
- Hold a current full manual UK driving licence/have access to own car with business insurance
