We accept referrals for various specialties, including Orthopaedic Surgery, Soft Tissue Surgery, Neurology, and Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, Dentistry, Cardiology, Anaesthesia, Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging, Oncology, Physiotherapy, and Emergency and Critical Care (ECC).

Job Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Prep Technician to join our Nursing team. As a vital part of our team, you will be responsible for assisting the nursing team with setting up for patient induction, including intravenous catheter baskets, fluid therapy, intubation equipment, patient prep solutions, and table setup.

You will also be responsible for holding patients for intravenous catheter placement, induction of anaesthesia, administration of sedation, ultrasound in the absence of an imaging technician, clipping patients for procedures, and prepping patients for surgical procedures.

Additionally, you will work with the Theatre Technicians to assist in cleaning and sterilising kit when needed, assist patients into theatre, and work with the overnight cleaner to ensure all daily and weekly tasks are completed and the cleanliness of the clinical area is maintained.

Requirements
  • Experience of working within a clinical and/or high-pressured environment, and/or experience of working with animals within a professional or personal capacity.
  • Passion for the welfare of animals.
