About the Role

KPMG is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Strategic Economic Consultant. As a key member of our water sector team, you will play a critical role in providing strategic economic consultancy services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of strategic economic advice for our clients in the water sector, with a focus on regulatory frameworks and planning.
  • Work closely with sector and subject matter experts to develop in-depth understanding of Ofwat's regulatory framework and statutory planning frameworks.
  • Build relationships with key clients across the sector, as well as with other advisors, to provide high-quality advice and support.
  • Develop and maintain a structured strategic approach to problem-solving, drawing on established economic principles and creative thinking.
  • Prepare and present reports, economic analyses, and other materials to clients and stakeholders.

About You

  • You will have a strong understanding of regulatory and planning frameworks for water companies, including price review, WRMP, DWMP, and WINEP.
  • You will possess excellent report writing, Excel, and PowerPoint skills, with strong writing and quantitative skills.
  • You will be a highly motivated, ambitious self-starter, willing to take advantage of opportunities and contribute to the growth and success of our team.
