About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Consultant to join our team at PA Consulting. As a key member of our economics and investment strategy team, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients secure investment in public sector infrastructure and technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality business cases for capital investment in the public sector, leveraging your expertise in economics and financial analysis.
  • Collaborate with senior clients to communicate technical concepts and provide strategic advice on investment decisions.
  • Apply sound logic and analysis to support decision-making and recommendations, balancing strategic and detailed perspectives.
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver tangible outcomes and drive business growth.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in developing and applying financial and economic models.
  • Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience with the HM Treasury Green Book and business case approach.
  • Developing large business cases for capital investment in the public sector.
  • Better Business Cases accreditation.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other modelling tools.
