Role Overview

Our client is seeking a Commercial Debt Recovery Associate to join their team at their West Sussex offices. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to high-profile banking and finance clients.

This includes supporting internal debt recovery processes and working closely with the Legal Manager to deliver a debt collection service. The team deals with numerous financial services clients who regularly instruct them, offering an opportunity to forge relationships and contribute to the growth of their strong client base.

You will be responsible for liaising with clients and debtors, communicating via phone and written correspondence. Where settlement terms cannot be negotiated, you will prepare and progress claims to obtain judgment and assist with enforcement procedures if necessary.

To be successful in this role, you will need experience of working within the legal or professional services sector in a similar type of role. Excellent communication skills, a confident telephone manner, and the ability to negotiate effectively are essential in this position.
