Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Continuity and Risk Manager to join our team at ION Group. As a key member of our Operational Resilience function, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continuity of our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement proactive business continuity strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure the resilience of our critical business processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create BC plans, aligning with ION's business critical services.
  • Oversee the implementation and completion of business impact assessments for both business and technical functions.
  • Determine prioritization for creating BC planning and develop a BC organization structure to ascertain the number of BC plans and tiering required.
  • Create a BC management framework and oversight reporting structure.
  • Identify and manage third-party risks within the BC planning process.
  • Conduct BC plan exercises, call tree exercises, and support business and technical stakeholders in developing functional exercises.
  • Design and maintain BC plan templates using ION's toolset (Fusion RM).
  • Monitor and improve BC planning processes in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Report on BC status, risks, and RTO/RPO breaches across the Markets estate.
  • Develop action plans and other deliverables, such as gap analysis and risk identification in critical business processes.
  • Contribute to horizon scanning, scenario, and strategic risk analysis to identify potential future reputation and policy risks aligned with the company strategy.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in all aspects of business continuity.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing a business continuity program at a tactical level, developing BIAs, and BC plans within a software platform.
  • Familiarity with Fusion RM BCP planning and resilience modules.
  • Experience in using Fusion analytics tools to manage, measure, and monitor business continuity.
  • A strong track record of developing practical continuity processes and frameworks.
  • Expertise in proactively creating business impact analysis and managing end-to-end mapping and subsequent risks.
  • Deep knowledge of UK and European regulations, including DORA and CP26/23 Operational Resilience requirements for Critical Third Parties.
  • Ability to design controls, manage, and mature the business continuity planning program.
  • Experience in creating BC plan exercises and reporting recovery capabilities, including RTO, RPO, and impact tolerance status.
  • Prior experience in supporting critical business owners with the creation of their BCP plans.

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $120,000 - $180,000 depending on location and experience. This compensation package reflects the market value for similar roles in the industry.
