About the Role

National Grid Interconnectors is seeking an experienced HVDC Operations & Maintenance Planner to join our team at the Blyth converter station. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance work, ensuring the efficient operation of our converter station and onshore cables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate maintenance work orders, ensuring the correct resources are assigned to each task.
  • Liaise with site engineers to determine resource and equipment requirements for unplanned maintenance.
  • Track and manage all planned and unplanned outages.
  • Ensure our work management system is up to date and follow up on outstanding work orders.
  • Coordinate with contractors and internal departments for site activities.

About You

  • Experience in a project planning or similar role.
  • Familiarity with project management techniques and operations & maintenance manuals.
  • IT skills, including MS Office suite.
  • Experience with asset management systems, such as Maximo, is desirable.
