Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Lead Speech Therapist to join our neuro rehabilitation team at Queen Elizabeth's Foundation for Disabled People.

About the Role

As a Clinical Lead Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for leading and managing a specialist speech therapy team in a brand new state-of-the-art rehabilitation centre.

You will contribute to the continued development of a high-quality speech therapy service, providing specialist dysphagia assessment and intervention to clients with complex neurological disabilities.

You will deliver 1:1 and group speech therapy sessions, creating accessible communication and swallowing guidance for the wider multidisciplinary team.

You will have a key-worker role, managing and overseeing a specific client's whole journey at QEF, liaising with families, and being a single point of contact for all queries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a specialist speech therapy team
  • Contribute to the development of a high-quality speech therapy service
  • Provide specialist dysphagia assessment and intervention
  • Deliver 1:1 and group speech therapy sessions
  • Manage and oversee a specific client's whole journey at QEF

Requirements

  • Degree in Speech & Language Therapy
  • Additional training in Dysphagia
  • Ongoing CPD record relevant to TBI
  • Ongoing membership with the RCSLT
  • Registration with HCPC
  • Experience working with adult neurologically impaired adults
  • Excellent clinical skills
  • Ability to manage a small team of speech therapists
