The Job

This exciting opportunity involves handling a portfolio of Financial Lines claims for various professions, including Solicitors, Accountants, Architects, and Surveyors.

We are looking for an experienced claims professional who has the ability to review policy wordings and is comfortable advocating on behalf of our clients.

The role is hybrid, with an expectation of 3 days working in the office. Although primarily passionate about Professional Indemnity, the team also handles Directors & Officers, Cyber, and Financial Institutions claims.

Your Key Tasks

  • Manage the entire claims process, from investigation to settlement.
  • Utilise in-depth knowledge of insurance policies and claims procedures to assess and adjudicate claims accurately.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure timely claim resolution.
  • Analyse claims data to identify trends, reduce claim frequency, and improve processes.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to claims handlers and junior team members.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, insurers, and loss adjusters.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to improve claims management.
  • Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators.
  • Negotiate with insurers to achieve favourable settlements within policy terms.
  • Advocate for the claims function and settlements to enhance client satisfaction.
