We are seeking a skilled Paraplanning Expert to join our team at Merje. As a key member of our Wealth Management team, you will play a vital role in supporting our advisers in delivering exceptional client experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive instructions from advisers following client meetings and interpret data obtained during these meetings.
  • Analyse data and use research tools to provide solutions that meet client needs and objectives.
  • Provide records to support research undertaken and liaise with the Head of Technical/Head of Compliance when guidance is required.
  • Consolidate client needs and objectives, together with recommendations and course of action, in a written format via a suitability letter, client-specific illustration, and key features document.
  • Liaise with the Head of Technical on the structure and development of Suitability Report Templates and attachments to the reports.
  • Load cases onto relevant platforms in a suitable manner and fully debrief the administrator and consultant.
  • Carry out all tasks in a manner consistent with compliance procedures and company processes.
  • Ensure all client files are compliant on an ongoing basis and refer significant risk issues to the Head of Compliance where appropriate.
  • Make a constructive contribution to the continuing development of the team and proactively enhance industry knowledge through external and internal sources.

Requirements:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Services and working towards Level 6 Advanced Diploma.
  • Demonstrate practical awareness and up-to-date knowledge of retail financial products and current regulatory expectations.
  • Analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise.
  • Deliver effective and positive communication and demonstrate competent use of IT.
