Senior Midwife Clinical Lead

We are seeking an experienced Senior Midwife to join our Labour Ward team as a Clinical Lead. The successful candidate will possess strong clinical leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities- Manage the clinical area of responsibility, ensuring effective coordination and leadership within the team.
- Assess and develop programmes of care for women and their babies in the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.
- Work autonomously within guidelines and professional practice, demonstrating expertise and sound judgment.
- Act as a mentor for new qualified and junior midwives, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and confidence.
- Provide a range of health education and social care advice to patients in the hospital setting.
- At least 2 years' experience as a Band 6 Midwife.
- Able to mentor students and provide appraisal experience.
- Evidence of continued professional development and a commitment to ongoing learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, patients, and relatives.
- Good verbal and written English language skills (IELTs level 7 or above).
- IT literate in Microsoft Office and Excel.
Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust offers a competitive salary of £51,000 - £59,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a range of benefits, including:
