Occupational Therapist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at a leading mental health hospital in Ayr, Scotland. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with mental illness and/or personality disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient assessments and develop personalized treatment plans to promote recovery and independence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery and adherence to company policies.
  • Support junior staff and students in their professional development.
  • Lead the development and implementation of occupational therapy services within the site.
  • Organize and deliver therapeutic activities to promote patient engagement and well-being.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide education and support to patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
  • Relevant clinical experience in mental health and/or personality disorders.
  • Extensive knowledge of occupational therapy frameworks and approaches.
  • Excellent clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Specialized knowledge of assessment and treatment models.
  • Ability to work with neurodiverse individuals.
