Job Title: Family Time Visitation Supervisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen with Swan Family Centres Limited for a Family Time Visitation Supervisor to work in our Croydon Children and Family Contact Centre.

This challenging yet rewarding role involves coordinating and supervising family time between children and their birth families at contact centres and within the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete detailed recordings of observations during sessions and liaise with social workers, escalating concerns as necessary.
  • Join a child-focused, creative, and supportive team with a strong emphasis on being a good corporate parent.
  • Transport and escort children and young people.
  • Observe and supervise contact between children, young persons, and parents, including other family members.
  • Risk manage and intervene as necessary to safeguard children.
  • Develop good report writing skills to factually describe observations within the contact session within the agreed timeframe.
  • Attend and participate in planning meetings or reviews as required.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures of Swan Family Centres Limited and its clients at all times.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns promptly.
  • Attend supervision and training courses in relation to the tasks as required.
Essential Requirements:
  • NVQ level 3 in the children and young people workforce or related fields.
  • A current DBS for working with adults and children - assistance can be provided.
Desirable Requirements:
  • A driving licence and access to a car is desirable but not essential.

We are seeking contact supervisors who understand the importance of child-centred services that make a difference to the families we work with. Candidates should be empathetic, have good communication skills, and be non-judgmental in their practices. This role is ideal for social work students or those looking to pursue a career in social care.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: £13.15 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Weekend availability
  • Overtime
