Academic Skills Tutor for Psychology

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as an Associate Tutor supporting the teaching team on the BSc Psychology programme at Birkbeck University of London.
Key Responsibilities:- Support teaching and enable students to complete their studies successfully.
- Undertake related course administrative duties as required.
- Prepare and run studying skills focused seminars, teaching, and marking assessments on the Academic Skills for Psychology first year, level 4 module.
- A first degree in Psychology or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Advanced experience in using a range of statistical techniques and report writing suitable for quantitative psychological science research.
- A good working knowledge of SPSS.
- The ability to work both as part of a team and independently as appropriate and have the ability to support teaching.
- A willingness to engage in reflective practice.
This is a fixed term appointment for 11 weeks from 9th October 2023 to 1 January 2024, working 3 hours per week Mondays 6pm to 9pm.
