Job Opportunity: Associate Tutor for L4 Academic Skills for Psychology

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as an Associate Tutor for L4 Academic Skills for Psychology. The successful candidate will support the teaching team on the BSc Psychology programme, focusing on the Academic Skills for Psychology first-year, level 4 module.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and enable students to complete their studies successfully.
  • Undertake related course administrative duties as required.
  • Prepare and run studying skills-focused seminars, teaching, and marking assessments.

Requirements:

  • A first degree in Psychology or an equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Advanced experience in using a range of statistical techniques and report writing suitable for quantitative psychological science research.
  • A good working knowledge of SPSS.
  • The ability to work both as part of a team and independently as appropriate, with the ability to support teaching.
  • A willingness to engage in reflective practice.

Working Arrangements:

This is a fixed-term appointment for 11 weeks, working 3 hours per week on Mondays from 6pm to 9pm.
