Capital Planning Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Planning Specialist to join our client on a temporary basis. This 6-month contract position (possible extension) offers a daily rate ranging from £600 to £650 per day Umbrella (inside IR35). The role is hybrid, with mostly remote work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support the development of our client's medium-term financial plan and capital programme.
  • Guide senior managers in resolving technical and policy issues related to funding that may affect our client's finances.
  • Contribute to quarterly monitoring reports, ensuring due diligence and reconciliations between capital and revenue budgets.
  • Assist in integrating revenue budget and capital programme with other financial processes within the organisation.
  • Provide expert advice on capital and support the Capital Strategic Asset Board in its assurance/governance function.
  • Offer guidance to staff in areas of personal expertise, pursuing innovative solutions to improve service delivery.
  • Prepare technical reports, briefings, presentations, and training as required.
  • Seek opportunities to collaborate with customers and establish partnerships to deliver shared objectives.
  • Participate in cross-team projects and working groups to enhance capital programme, financial plan, and policy steers.
  • Manage staff through recruitment, training, motivation, and development to achieve agreed outcomes and targets.
  • Contribute to finance community management and assist in delivering the finance business plan.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a CCAB qualification as an accountant, CIMA, or an equivalent overseas certification.
