School Mental Health Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a School Mental Health Teaching Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children with complex social, emotional, and mental health needs, and to develop your skills and knowledge in this field.

About the Role

This is a long-term contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 - 16:30, with a salary scale of 460- 500 per week, including holiday pay. The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree and/or previous SEN experience, with a keen interest in mental health and Autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to children with complex social, emotional, and mental health needs
  • Work closely with the Clinical team to develop and implement strategies to support students
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery to meet the needs of students
  • Develop and maintain relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree and/or previous SEN experience
  • Interest in mental health and Autism
  • Knowledge of SEMH elements of the provision
  • Local commute to Luton
