Job Overview

Austin Fraser is seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Specialist to join their team. This role involves designing and assembling automated machinery for FMCG sectors, with a focus on ensuring efficiency and precision of systems.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a salary of £45,000 per annum, plus overtime pay and enhanced pension contributions. Additional benefits include profit share, Christmas bonus, life and accident cover, disability cover, and 25 days holiday.

Job Description
  1. Design PLC based electrical control systems from design specifications.
  2. Program PLC, HMI & safety configurable relay systems.
  3. Configure remote I/O, servo motor and inverter drives.
  4. Integrate ancillary equipment into the production lines such as vision systems.
  5. Fault find electrical control systems, PLC and hardware systems.
  6. Commission, support and service at customer sites.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ideally HND/HNC qualified within a relevant Electrical discipline.
  • A firm grounding in control systems and PLC based control is essential.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens or Omron PLC's ideal.
  • Understanding of vision & SCADA systems.
  • Experience of the pharmaceutical industry and/or explosive atmosphere regulations desirable.
