Fleet & Workshop Manager Job Description

As a key member of the FedEx Group team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our fleet and workshop facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the maintenance and repair of our vehicles, ensuring they meet the highest standards of roadworthiness and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Diagnose and repair vehicles to the highest standards, adhering to our preventative maintenance programme and ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Workshop Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring all staff are trained and equipped to carry out their duties safely and efficiently.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are complied with, and maintain a safe working environment for all staff and visitors.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and develop staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
