**About the Role**
We are seeking an experienced Transport Operations Manager to join our client, a leading 3PL logistics services provider. As a key player in the industry, they pride themselves on delivering excellent service and are now seeking a Transport Operations Manager to oversee the transport operations in the Peterborough region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a small administration and planning team, as well as a fleet of approximately 50 drivers.
- Oversee subcontract and haulier relationships across the region, managing a fleet of around 15 vehicles.
- Lead all operational health and safety, compliance, and fleet maintenance agendas across the transport operation.
- Ensure seamless coordination and optimization of logistics operations from an internal synergy and continuous improvement perspective.
- Implement best practices while ensuring sufficient usage of the TMS platform.
- Support and develop individuals, providing developmental opportunities within the business.
Requirements:
- A logistics distribution and supply chain background is essential.
- A CPC National/International qualification, demonstrating a deep understanding of transportation regulations, is essential.
- At least 3 years of transport management experience within a 3PL/FMCG/food/haulage or retail environment is essential.
- Proven experience in managing 50+ vehicles is essential.
- Sub-contract management experience is highly advantageous.
- A true passion for people development, providing excellent service, and continuous improvement is advantageous.
- Strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence are essential.
- Commutable to the Peterborough region each day is essential.
Salary and Package:
- Salary: £45,000 to £50,000.
- Company car or car allowance (£5,000).
- Company bonus scheme.
- 25 days + 8 bank holidays.

- Plus additional company benefits.
