Band 5 Rotational Dietitian

The Band 5 Rotational Dietitian role provides a unique opportunity to gain experience in various settings across University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. As a rotational dietitian, you will be placed within different services supported by UHCW Dietitians, allowing you to develop a broad range of skills and expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a professional dietetic service for adults and paediatrics, across a range of general medical and surgical inpatient wards, outpatient clinics, and the community at UHCW.
- Assess and treat your own workload of patients/clients and maintain associated records, with support as necessary from senior colleagues.
- Liaise with dietetic colleagues and other members of hospital staff as necessary, including medical, nursing, catering, and other health professionals.
- Work autonomously to provide dietetic advice to adult and paediatric patients, their carers, and staff with a range of medical conditions within in-patient, out-patient, and community settings, following agreed protocols and guidelines.
- Carry out nutritional assessments, develop treatment plans, and prescribe dietary treatment and ACBS products for conditions with limited professional/clinical guidelines available.
- Facilitate group sessions to support patient knowledge and behaviour change.
