  • Carry out nutrition education and training for nurses, support workers, catering, and medical staff as required.

Professional Development

  • Keep up to date with developments in dietetics by participating in appropriate training and development activities.
  • Actively participate and contribute to departmental clinical supervision groups to ensure regular evaluation of practice through peer review.
  • Support and participate in dietetic staff meetings, sharing knowledge, evaluating, and improving service delivery.
  • Participate in the department's Clinical Governance programme, including evidence-based practice workshops, clinical audit, and reporting of clinical risks.
  • Document patient activity data in accordance with trust and professional standards.
  • Comment on nutrition and dietetic guidelines and procedures, proposing changes to working practice.
