Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Designated Teacher to join our team at South Hampshire College Group. As a Designated Teacher, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of our learners, particularly those with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage safeguarding service processes and provide support and guidance as required.
  • Lead targeted interventions and pastoral support for vulnerable learners.
  • Oversee the inclusion of Care Experienced students and manage their support and development.

Requirements

  • Effective knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures.
  • Significant experience of supporting children and vulnerable adults, particularly those identified within the CLA and Care Leaver categories.
  • Significant experience of working with external agencies, including statutory and voluntary bodies.

Qualifications

  • Psychology/education qualification and/or experience within the safeguarding/wellbeing arena.
  • Mental Health Qualification.
  • Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in English and Maths or equivalent.
