Job Description

Chubb Fire & Security Limited is seeking a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspects of a portfolio of design and build projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administration of Main Contracts, including project control information, change management, and cash collection
  • Administration of Subcontract Agreements, including execution of the project subcontract strategy
  • Providing advisory services on standard forms of agreement, including FIDIC, JCT, NEC, and ICE
  • Assisting in the development and responsibility for procurement and negotiation of all Subcontracts
Project Management
  • Working with the Project Manager to identify early warnings within the Subcontract environment
  • Assisting in the administration of Instructions and the like
  • Assisting with the preparation of accurate project control information to evaluate progress against the agreed construction programme
Compliance
  • Managing the team's ethics, quality, and EH&S requirements, ensuring that all team members are aware of their EH&S obligations and comply with EH&S policies
  • Ensuring that the team maintains a safe place of work and working environment both on site and off site
Qualifications and Experience
  • Graduate calibre with experience in business processes, including a 'hands-on' approach and sharing and enacting best practice
  • Experience in quantifying works in accordance with Standard Measurement Rules
  • Experience in the administration of contracts in both client and subcontract
  • Experience in influencing and managing confrontational and difficult situations in a professional manner
