At DP World, we are seeking an experienced Financial Accountancy Specialist to join our team in the EMEA region. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial accounts and ensuring timely payments from customers.


About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a seasoned credit controller with excellent communication skills and experience working with high-volume customers. As a key member of our Finance & Controlling team, you will play a critical role in supporting our Ireland Freight Portfolio by collecting unpaid bill account balances and documenting daily collections activity.


Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Account Management: Collecting unpaid bill account balances and ensuring timely payments from customers.
  • Documenting Daily Collections Activity: Maintaining accurate records of daily collections activities, including communications with customers and stakeholders.
  • Credit Risk Analysis: Analyzing customer accounts to determine risk and creating and maintaining credit history files.
  • Customer Onboarding: Reviewing new customers and assessing credit terms and monthly credit limits.
  • Creditworthiness Assessment: Assessing creditworthiness using external credit risk management tools and reports.
  • Dispute Resolution: Resolving accounts disputes and billing discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Reconciliation: Performing account and payment reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Credit Inquiry Response: Responding to credit inquiries from customers and stakeholders.
  • Risk Identification: Identifying bad debt or financial exposure and taking corrective action as needed.
  • Customer Liaison: Liaising with customers to ensure timely payments and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Operations Collaboration: Liaising with Operations and our shared service centre to solve customer queries and resolve issues efficiently.

Requirements
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a focused Credit control role, preferably in the Freight Forwarding industry.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and a proven track record in building relationships with customers and stakeholders.

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary of approximately €45,000 - €60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
