Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Director of Healthcare Services at Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the healthcare service, including primary care, substance misuse, and mental health teams, as well as GP provision and subcontracted services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare management, with experience in change management and improvement. They will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of healthcare are maintained through robust quality assurance measures and performance monitoring.

The Director of Healthcare Services will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring care pathways that ensure the highest quality care. They will appraise and supervise staff, monitor and manage risk, and participate in the wider NHFT Specialist and Secured Services Governance framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the highest standards of healthcare are maintained through robust quality assurance measures and performance monitoring.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor care pathways that ensure the highest quality care.
  • Appraise and supervise staff.
  • Monitor and manage risk, taking proactive action to mitigate through local and directorate risk registers.
  • Participate in the wider NHFT Specialist and Secured Services Governance framework.
Requirements
  • Registered nurse (or hold an equivalent healthcare qualification) or be an experienced manager with robust operational experience.
  • Experience of change management/improvement.
