About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join our client's team in the Braintree area. As a key member of the finance function, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage financial reports, including management accounts and fixed asset schedules.
  • Oversee the purchase ledger process, ensuring accurate calculations and reconciliation of the duty deferment account.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and allocate payments using the Sage system.
  • Invoice suppliers for rebates and offers as needed.
  • Compile and prepare sales data required by suppliers.
  • Assist in calculating the new ERP waste packaging regulations.
  • Provide support to the credit controller with credit control tasks.
  • Perform other duties to support the team as needed.
Requirements
  • Previous experience preparing management accounts.
  • Previous purchase ledger experience.
  • Previous experience with Sage 200 (desirable).
  • Previous credit control experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and assist others when needed.
