Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Security Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our security team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional security services to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in security management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the security team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional security services to clients.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met and exceeded.
  • Lead and motivate the security team, ensuring they are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all issues and incidents are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage the administration and welfare of the security team, including induction and continuation training, probation, and setting objectives during annual appraisals.
  • Develop and implement effective security strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of clients and staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the security industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in managing a prestigious and highly demanding contract.
  • Industry-recognised qualification in security management.
  • Excellent client-facing skills and proven experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in people management.
  • Employment law knowledge.
  • Valid SIA DS front-line licence.
  • Valid SIA CCTV licence.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of operational security software applications or the ability to acquire such knowledge.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of security threats relevant to the current environment.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
  • Resilient and calm under pressure with the ability to multi-task and prioritise to help solve problems and overcome challenges.
  • Physically able to conduct all responsibilities associated with the role.
  • Ability to work to instruction and on your own initiative where required.
  • Computer literate and confident with the use of Microsoft Office programmes.
  • Flexibility in regard to working practices, hours, and responsibilities.
  • First Aid at work or the ability to train and retain this qualification.
  • Operation of CCTV/access control communications in an appropriate manner.
