Job Description:
This part time systems engineering role offers an exciting opportunity to join our Fire Control Radar team based in Newcastle, UK. As a system engineer, you will play a key role in developing new features and improving existing systems for our established fire control radar product. You will work closely with our systems team lead and other engineering functions to deliver the radar product to our customer community. Your responsibilities will include analysing large volumes of radar data, co-ordinating activities between design and flight trials teams, and interacting with technical and non-technical project stakeholders across multiple disciplines. The role requires effective communication skills, knowledge of an engineering lifecycle, and the ability to operate effectively within a diverse group of engineers. Occasional travel within the UK and Europe may be required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have a degree or equivalent experience in a STEM related subject, with excellent written and verbal presentation skills, and good practical knowledge of an engineering lifecycle. You must also be eligible for full security clearance and satisfy further UK eyes only and ITAR conditions.
