Job Description

As a Technical Systems Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and assessing reported system-level issues during lab testing, integration, and flight trials
  • Leading technical investigations and re-design activities aligned with project priorities
  • Developing effective plans to deliver solutions and communicating them to Engineering Management to ensure forward load and resource availability
  • Ensuring implementation of Lifecycle Management process and project engineering processes
  • Collaborating with the Engineering Management team and Chief Engineers to make decisions quickly within the project
  • Maintaining good lines of communication across the project, engineering disciplines, and engineering management
  • Leading and motivating a multi-discipline engineering team

This role requires full-time onsite working due to the project's nature.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • Strong knowledge and practical experience across different engineering lifecycle stages
  • The ability to quickly understand and break down complex problems individually or as part of a team
  • Experience following a system change management process
  • The capacity to manage diverse activities with many interactions and dependencies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with engineers, managers, subject matter experts, and customers
  • Experience managing, motivating, and supporting multidisciplinary teams
  • Practical experience using requirements management tools like DOORS
  • A high level of personal resilience when working under pressure

Prior experience with RF systems/Radar systems design and operation, as well as Software, Hardware, Firmware, and integration, would be advantageous.
