Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct holistic assessments of patients' needs and develop personalized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
  • Deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients in their own homes, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and services, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer therapeutic interventions and medications as prescribed, maintaining accurate records and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and report risks and incidents, contributing to a culture of safety and quality improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, fostering trust and open communication.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in pediatric nursing, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and services.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RGN) with a strong background in pediatric nursing and experience in an acute care setting.
  • Post-registration experience in pediatric nursing, including some time taking independent clinical decisions and supervising the work of others.
  • Strong understanding of therapies and medications relevant to pediatric care, including NHS knowledge relating to the management of patients with treated conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and adhering to regulatory requirements.
