Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Theatre Practitioner to join our team at Practice Plus Group, a leading independent sector healthcare provider. As a Theatre Practitioner, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standard of patient care in the perioperative phase.

Main Responsibilities

As a Theatre Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality patient care in the perioperative phase, ensuring the patient's treatment is of the highest standard.
  • Acting as an advocate for the patient in the intra-operative phase, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary theatre team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Developing and executing procedures for ordering, receiving, and transferring blood and blood products, as well as blood conservation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Part 1 registration with the NMC as a Nurse or HCPC registration as an Operating Department Practitioner with experience in Scrub or Anaesthetics.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current research and developments in theatre practice.
  • Sound knowledge of Health and Safety/Risk management within the operating department.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
