Theatre Scrub Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Queen Alexandra Hospital. As a key member of our Operating Department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our theatre services.
As a Theatre Scrub Practitioner, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and maintenance of operating theatres, as well as providing support to surgeons and anaesthetists during procedures. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and excellent outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of operating theatres, including setting up equipment and ensuring a safe and clean environment.
- Provide support to surgeons and anaesthetists during procedures, including handing instruments and maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
- Contribute to the development of staff once established within their primary clinical area, by facilitating rotational positions into at least 2 areas of Operating Department Practice (Recovery, Scrub and Anaesthetics).
- Participate in the acquisition of new skills and knowledge, including competency-based training packages and mentorship programs.
We are looking for individuals who are newly qualified RODPS or NQN's, or those about to qualify within the next 12 months. We are also willing to accept applications from experienced staff with the relevant skills.
