About the Role

Antony James Recruitment Ltd is delighted to be partnering with a rapidly expanding services organization in the recruitment of a seasoned Financial Accountant. Reporting directly to senior management, this individual will be responsible for preparing and reviewing management reports, monthly accounts, and claims, as well as overseeing the Finance Assistant.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review management reports, monthly accounts, and claims to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage cash flow, balance sheet reconciliations, and Fixed Asset registers to maintain financial stability.
  • Support the annual audit process and compliance efforts to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Maintain Build Partner retention schedules and recharges to optimize revenue streams.
  • Liaise with budget holders for effective financial management and decision-making.
  • Lead finance projects and assist with system improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the Finance Assistant and handle supplier payments to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Organize and attend stock takes as required to maintain inventory accuracy.
Requirements
  • ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or fully qualified with a strong understanding of financial regulations.
  • Proven experience in a Finance Department, including Management Accounts production and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting, Financial Control, and Sage 200 Accounts to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Experience in process management and implementing control procedures to maintain financial stability.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage workload effectively.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong collaboration skills across departments to ensure seamless communication.
  • Ability to create and refine processes effectively to drive business growth.
