About the Role

Antony James Recruitment Ltd is delighted to be partnering with a rapidly expanding services organization in the Colchester area to recruit a highly skilled Financial Accountant.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned financial professional to join a dynamic team and contribute to the company's continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review management reports, including financial statements and performance metrics.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly accounts, claims, and other financial documents.
  • Manage cash flow, balance sheet reconciliations, and fixed asset registers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Support the annual audit process and compliance efforts to maintain the company's financial integrity.
  • Maintain build partner retention schedules and recharges to optimize revenue streams.
  • Liaise with budget holders to ensure effective financial management and decision-making.
  • Lead finance projects and assist with system improvements to enhance financial processes and efficiency.
  • Oversee the Finance Assistant and handle supplier payments to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
  • Organize and attend stock takes as required to maintain accurate inventory levels.
Requirements
  • ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or fully qualified.
  • Proven experience in a finance department, including management accounts production.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, financial control, and Sage 200 Accounts.
  • Experience in process management and implementing control procedures.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage workload.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong collaboration skills across departments.
  • Ability to create and refine processes effectively.
